What animal is this?

Description:

On my last holiday in Southern France I spotted this strange creature.

It looks like a large sea slug. Used to see them all the time when I was younger growing up in Southern California.

I think this is a Sea Hare, which are found in French waters. They are indeed large slugs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_hare
