Description:

This metal art thing was at my grandmother's house buried in the dirt. When we found it we noticed that on the right hand side there is obviously a piece missing, you can see the piece of metal that it was attached to. Does anyone have any ideas as to what was there?

It's absolutely lovely! You might be right that there was another section to the right, but that is not a for-sure in the pictures. In the right section, there is an extension of metal at the 'floor' and an extension of the roof that has a 'fold-down' portion. Both might just be wear patterns in the forms of that part. They both would have been realistic roof-line and base-line renditions, but a bit worn. Are there any other signs that something was connected there? Weld remnants, screw holes, etc?

it has a small piece of metal that looks almost like a piece of wire that is sticking out at the top and center of the right hand side (the part next the barells and such)

Then it does sound like there might have been something else. Unless those were used as hangers. Wish I could help, but the piece is terrific.

Looks like the only thing missing is an outhouse!
