Description:

I moved in this house in florida a couple of years ago and we have this berry bush tree that we are not sure of the berry type, they eventually turn a bright purple when they are ripe and their actually very good to eat. They also bloom pretty much all of the year. Any Suggestions?

Possibly an American Beautyberry, but the berries themselves aren't supposed to be very tasty. Do the berries look like this when ripe?

hi benben, they are actually much bigger and they are a dark purple color when ripe, thanks though.

Another possibility is an Elderberry bush. Does it have small white flowers in spring? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elderberry

Nope no flowers either, just the berries. Some of these berries should be ripe by next week so i will upload a ripe one.

Fair enough. Do you have any better pictures of the leaves themselves and if they cluster, the leaf clusters? This plant maybe a wind pollinator so the flowers maybe green and small, or only certain parts of the flower are present like the stamen or in this case the female part, the stigma.
