Head AuoraDescription:I took this picture of my aunt and grand-daughter and this is what I have. None of the other pics are like this. My grand-daughter doesn't have anything around her. This is not a trick. There is a window behind her but it was a cloudy day. It was shot with a digital and I've never had this happen out of hundreds of shots. Thanks Comments:

ok there are 3 things happening in this picture, and no, none of its weird :)
1-theres the window, even on a cloudy day, sunlight is brighter than your room lights.
2-theres the person on the right who is wearing a white or very light colored shirt with blond hair and fair skin.
3-then there is the person on the left who has a dark shirt and dark hair and more of a tan.
the person with the dark shirt is the person closest to the camera. your camera used that person as its reference for both focus and light adjustment. this caused all the much lighter things in the picture to be too light. notice how the objects in the background that are dark look fine...the sash on the drapes, the wall border. cameras cannot handle a big range between what the darkest thing is and the lightest thing is, they are simply not as good as your eyes. the rest of your pictures probably didn't present the camera with as wide of a range, or perhaps some of the pictures have "muddied" darker objects, but that usually isn't as noticable as "blooming" bright objects.
