Tags: connector cable Wire usb cd external Description:I bought an external cd drive from cash converters and thought it would be easy to find a cable for it. Does anyone know what kind of connector this is and whether a conversion to usb exists? Comments:

It looks like a SCSI cable, and no there is no (Cheap) SCSI to USB conversion.

I think that you have one of the early cd duplication machines. I'm pretty sure that it will be difficult to find supplies/parts for this. Not impossible, but not worth your trouble both financially and time wise.

The plugs on the back look like old SCSI Centronics connectors. You would have to find a SCSI controller card for your PC, a cable that would go between the SCSI card and the device, and a SCSI terminator that uses a Centronics connector.
Unless you have all of the above save yourself the trouble and send it to the dump, this thing is at least ten years old. The CD speed will be abysmal.
