What is this???

Description:

This glass thing is about 12" tall,with a green tint. The base is about 5" in diameter. The "circle,& bubble" on the right is made of solid glass it goes in about 3",& at a slight downward angle. With no holes. The spout is about 3" long. THANX, Jason

Looks a lot like sushi decanters I've seen ... ice goes into the bubble so it can chill the contents without diluting it.

I think this is an old wine cooler bottle - you put crushed ice in the depression.

I have one of these that I bought from Princess House about 30 years ago. The others are correct, it is a wine decanter and the bubble is for ice. Mine has a fancy, raffia wrapped cork as a stopper for the top and a larger raffia wrapped cork as a stopper for the ice bubble.
