Not a Firebird, it's a '57 or '58 Ford Thunderbird.

This definitely is a 1959 Ford Thunderbird. Only this model had two backlights and this special chrome on the door. The second Thunderbird generation was built from 58 to 60 and got the nickname "Square Bird. The 58-model had different chrome, the 60-model had three backlights on each side. Look here http://www.oldtimer.net/fragen/index.php?d=frage&id=52

1959 Thunderbird to be sure. I used to own a '58 myself. The easiest way to tell the '58, '59 and '60 apart is: '58 had a honeycomb pattern on the grill and around the 2 each tail lights. They also had 5 individual chrome pieces on the door. '59 had horizontal bars in the front grill and around the 2 each tail lights. They also had a chrome spear on the door. '60 had a pattern of squares in the grill, along with more chrome bars. They also had 3 tail lights on each side in the rear instead of 2 each. They also had the word "Thunderbird" spelled out in chrome script on the door. Now you know.
